Yoga Classes – Terms & Conditions
By booking a yoga class, workshop or other yoga session with me, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Booking and payment
Your place is confirmed once payment has been received. Bookings are personal and are not normally transferable to another person unless agreed in advance.
Please make sure you provide accurate contact details when booking so that I can contact you if there are any changes to the session.
2. Cancellation and transfers
Weekly classes
• Cancellations made 2 days or more before the class are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made up to 8 hours before the class can be transferred to another suitable class.
• Cancellations made less than 8 hours before the class, and non-attendance, are not eligible for a refund or transfer.
For workshops, courses, retreats and other events, separate cancellation terms may apply and will be stated at the time of booking.
3. Your health and wellbeing
Yoga involves physical movement and, like any physical activity, carries a risk of injury.
You are responsible for working within your own capabilities and for adapting or stopping a practice if something does not feel right. You are not expected to perform any movement that causes pain or feels inappropriate for you.
Please let me know before class about any injury, health condition, pregnancy, or other circumstance that may affect your ability to practise safely. You do not need to share more personal information than is necessary for me to support your practice.
If you are unsure whether yoga is appropriate for you, or whether a particular practice is suitable given your circumstances, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
4. During class
Please follow reasonable instructions given during the session and use equipment safely.
You are welcome to decline, modify or rest from any practice at any time. There is no expectation that you work to the same level as anyone else in the room.
If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or feel unwell during a session, stop and let me know.
5. Accessibility
I want my classes to be welcoming and accessible to as many people as possible. If you have an access need, disability, injury, sensory sensitivity or anything else that may affect your participation, please get in touch before booking or attending so that we can discuss how I can support you.
Where possible, I will make reasonable adjustments to the practice, teaching or environment. Please be aware that the accessibility of different venues may vary.
6. Respectful practice space
I want classes to be welcoming, inclusive and respectful spaces. Please treat other participants, the venue and the teacher with consideration.
Behaviour that is threatening, abusive, discriminatory or significantly disruptive will not be accepted.
7. Changes or cancellation by me
Occasionally I may need to change or cancel a class because of illness, unforeseen circumstances, venue issues or other reasons beyond my reasonable control.
If I need to cancel a session, I will let you know as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or, where appropriate, an alternative date or class.
8. Photography and recording
Please do not photograph, film or record other participants without their explicit permission.
If I intend to take photographs or recordings during a session for promotional purposes, I will ask for your consent separately.
9. Personal responsibility
Yoga is an educational and experiential practice and is not a substitute for medical, psychological or other healthcare.
You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to participate in any practice offered during a session.
10. Acceptance of these terms
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and that the information you have provided about your ability to participate is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
If you have any questions or concerns about participating in a class, please get in touch before booking.
